シンガポール航空さんと組んでワンダーランドツアーが開催されました。
ツアーでは、A380の２階建ての飛行機に乗りました。エコノミーだったのですが、テレビの画面が大きく、もっと乗っていたいくらいに素晴らしかったのが印象的でした。シンガポールに行くならシンガポールエアーがいい！と思いました。

実は現地にツアーより一足先に行き、パートナーたちとゴルフをしました。
ところが途中で天気が悪くなり中止に。それでもワイワイと夜１０時くらいまでご飯を食べて、交流しました。シンガポールのレストラン協会の仲良し加減がうらやましいと思いましたし、それが日本にも必要だと思いました。

ツアーでは、セントーサに見学に行きました。
そこは、シンガポールシールードリパブリックがオープンする予定の場所です。今まで出店させていただいたよりも、だいぶスケールが大きい開発です。国をあげてのプロジェクトはスケールが違うなぁと思いました。実は、シンガポールシーフードリパブリックをシンガポールに持ち帰るのに対して、少し不安はありましたが、その場所でシンガポールの名物料理をやるのは我々だけだとわかり、よしやろう！とあらためて思いました。
来年の春、オープン予定ですので、是非お楽しみください。
日本で失われている元気がシンガポールにはあります。
その元気は、日本全体にも必要だと思いますので、機会あれば是非お越しください！

Wonderland tour was held with Singapore Airline, and we went to Singapore with our customers.　Our flight was A380, which had two stories. The flight was so great with big screens even in economy class. I really appreciated Singapore Airline's good quality.

I actually landed earlier than the tour members to attend a golf event with my partners.
But the weather changed, and we stopped the play. However, we enjoyed talking and eating until about 10 pm. The members of Singapore Restaurant Association are all friendly and close, which I thought good and necessary for Japan as well.

During the tour, we visited Sentosa, where our Singapore Seafood Republic will open next year. The scale will be bigger than any other projects that I'd ever done.
To tell the truth, I was a bit worried about bringing the Singapore concept to Singapore at first, but I got more confident since I had found out that we will be the only one who features the local food.
Please look forward to it. You will find energized, active, and very fine atmosphere there which Japan has forgotten. I think Japan will need it, so please come and see Singapore if you have chance.

シンガポールのパートナーたちと九州に行くことがあったので、そこで出会ったおいしいお店をご紹介します。
今回のメインイベントだったのは、臼杵のふぐ。大分のふぐは内蔵も食べるということで、ちょっと怖いと思いましたが、老舗で有名な山田屋さんに行ってきました。
実は臼杵は、行ったことが無く、知らない町でしたが、昔からの雰囲気がそのまま現代に続いていて、とても素敵なところでした。臼杵のふぐを味わい、日本人の食に対する、ある種専門職という美意識、本物感を感じました。ふぐを食べるということだけでなく、そういった伝統的な食文化に触れられたことがよかったです。臼杵はなかなか行けないけれど、「臼杵でふぐを食べる」というのも一つのイベントになると思いました。

また、湯布院でもおいしいお店に行ってきました。実はそこは１０年以上前に行ったことがあるのですが、その味が忘れられず、今回また行ってきました。「佐土野屋」というそのお店は、やきとり屋さんなのですが、東京のやきとりとは違って、炙り焼きの元祖みたいなお店です。鶏肉をただ炙って食べるだけなのですが、今まで食べたことのないような鶏肉のおいしさです。

九州には、山、海、人情があり、たくさんのおいしいものがあります。九州にも出店を計画しているので、もっと九州に行くようになるかもしれませんので、またおいしいものがあったら報告します。

I went to Kyusyu area, the south part of Japan with Singapore partners, and I found good restaurants.
The biggest event in the trip was blowfish in Usuki, Oita prefecture. I was a little bit scared at eating the internal organs of blowfish(Usuki is the only place you could eat the organs because the chef has to be very skilled), but we went to Yamadaya, one of the most famous blowfish places in Usuki.
I had never been to Usuki before, but it was so nice with historical atmosphere. I felt authentic beauty of Japanese food.
We also went to a good yakitori(grilled chicken) place in Yufuin, Oita. I went there more than ten years ago, but I could not forget the taste. The place is called "Sadonoya". They have really good chicken, and we enjoyed grilling them by ourselves.
There are so many great food in Kyusyu. I will report good places to eat when I go there again.

今年は重苦しい不況の年でした。ショッキングな、というよりは、ずっしり苦痛な感じというべきでしょうか。誰もが感じていらっしゃるかと思います。例えて言うなら泥沼のようなものです。そこから抜け出せるひもがあるといいなと思っています。
焦るとよけいに沈んでしまいますので、沈まぬように待っている時でしょうか。それでもロープに対する希望は消さず、夢は失ってはいけないと思います。世の中、いいことばかりではないですし、悪いことばかりでもありません。焦るとストレスがたまってしまいますので、どうせなら、ゆっくり行きましょう。

This year was bad in economy. The recession was not shocking but deep pain. I guess anyone feels that way.It is like a bog. I hope I can find a rope to get out of the bog.
But you have to be patient. If not, you will sink. It is better to wait with hope for the rope.
There are good things and bad things in reality, and both of them will happen, not only either of them. I think it better for us to go slowly because being in haste will give you more stress.
