We have a special plan for you, Dubai tour for this coming October. As Mango Tree, one of our brands of Thai restaurant, has opened in Dubai, we will visit Dubai and experience gourmet there!
Dubai is such an interesting place since it has changed so drastically there years. There used to be only dessert, but so many high class hotels and big shopping malls are now its attractions. Why don't you visit Dubai with us this time?

皆さん、こんにちは。毎日暑いですね。
原材料、石油の高騰、不景気などニュースが続いて久しくなりますが、
それを受けて最近ずっと思っていることがあります。

「人はどうすれば心から安らげるのだろうか」

なぜかというと、これだけ将来が（ある意味）不透明で、混沌としていますと、人間というのは、はやり遠くに出ていくよりは、近くで楽しみを見つけるようになるのだと思います。すると外に出る服も必要なければ、わざわざ遠出して食事をすることもあまり望まれないように思います。

私たちは外食のビジネスとしておりますので、決して歓迎できることではないのですが、「お金をあまりかけないで心を安らかにさせる」という要素があらゆるビジネスにおいて成功のヒントとなると思っています。

実際、弊社ではハイクラスのレストランからミドルクラス、ファーストフード的なラーメンやフードコートを扱っております。ハイクラスとミドルクラスもありがたいことに、この不景気と言われる中で、お客様にご指示いただいているおかげで、決して悪くはないのですが、とにかく元気なのがラーメンなどの比較的値段が安いお店なのです。

ただし、それはこれから比較的安い方向に向かうというわけではなく、あくまで「本物」をお伝えするということ、まじめにレストランをするということは変えずに、ハイクラス、ミドルクラスを大事にしていきつつもそういった手軽なお店を育てていくことが大切だと思っています。それが私たちが２０年近く、ずっと変えてこなかった部分でもあります。

実は、今週末からまたタイに行って参りますが、タイには、おいしい屋台がたくさんあって、
今お話してきたような、「決して高くなくすごく心安らぐ」瞬間を味わう料理に出会うことができます。タイに限らず、アジアの料理には、そういった料理がたくさんあるように思っていますので、これからもっと面白くなっていくと思います。

Hi, how are you? It's very hot everyday, isn't it?
We have been getting news of price jump of oil and raw materials, and recession.
I've been thinking of one thing with those news.
"How people can be relaxed from the heart?"

The reason I have this question is that this economy makes people stay at home or go somewhere near by for their leisure.
If this happens, people will not be willing to buy clothes for outdoor. They won't be happy to go to far restaurants to dine out, either.

Of course, we do restaurant business, so this situation is not welcoming, but I feel this question will help us to find new business chances for coming years.

Actually, our company run high class, middle class, and cheaper restaurants such as ramen shops and a food court. Fortunately, our royal customers support high class and middle class ones, and they are not so bad although Japan economy is not so good. But cheaper shops such as ramen are doing well in particular.

However, I would like to make sure that it does not mean we are focusing on only cheaper restaurants in the near future. We think it important to keep our policy, "bring real, authentic cuisine and food", and to develop high class and middle class ones.

I'm actually visiting Thailand this weekend, where you will be able to find many foods which are very cheap and entertaining and relaxing.
I also feel Asian cuisine in general have many recipes, so I'm very interested.
One of our Thai restaurant brands, mango tree deli, will serve you special lunch box called "Train Fried Rice".

How do you make yourself relaxed?
I hope to have some ways to relax and entertain myself without spending money.

先日、タイからかえってまいりました。
前から少しお話させていただいておりますが、タイからデザートを持ってくる企画と、弊社のレストランの海外進出の準備を着々と進めております。

私はいろいろな国を見て参りましたが、日本に限らず、世界的に景気が悪いように思います。
ガソリンは高いですし、物価も上がっています。将来があまり予想できない中、人々はできるだけお金を使いたくないという心理になります。

しかし、人間は食べる必要があります。その時に何を食べたいですか？私だったら、安く、でも質はなるべく高いものがいいです。もし安くて、質がよければ、食べる回数は確実に増えると思います。

世の中は不景気で、外食産業にとっては厳しい時代ですが、その中で、私は進化していかねばならないと思います。時代の流れを読み、人々に喜ばれるものを生み出していきたいと思っています。

ラッキーなことに日本ブームなので、日本が世界に出て行くにはよいタイミングだと思います。具体的には、今の時代にあった、ラーメンを主体とした、安いけどおいしいラーメン屋さんを進化させて海外に出店したいと思っています。

幸い、パートナーとして、組んでいただける企業が見つかりました。タイでとても大きい企業です。規模的には、弊社に比べると大きすぎて心配してしまいますが、（苦笑）、意気投合しています。何かを始めるには、人と人がよい関係を築いていかないといけませんが、逆にそれができれば、成功の確率は上がります。その上、場所と企画がばっちりで合えば、成功できると思っています。

タイからトロピカルフルーツをテーマにしたデザートを持ってくる企画に関しても、楽しみにしていてください。「ちょっとした贅沢」ができるアイテムを日本で展開したいです。

１７日、とても涼しい日がありました。雨が降っている中、仕事をしておりましたが、暑い夏の真ん中に、秋のにおいがふっとしました。久しぶりにエアコンに頼らず過ごすことができました。食欲の秋は、我々レストランにとって、大事な季節です。一生懸命に作っておりますので、是非、秋のメニューを食べに来てくださいね。

Hi everyone. I just got back from Thailand. As I have been talking here, we have two projects, bringing dessert from Thailand and bringing our restaurant abroad.

I had been to many countries, and I feel economy is not so good not only in Japan but also in other countries.
Gas is expensive, and the prices are raising. Since people can not predict the future well, people feel like saving money.
But human needs to eat to live. What would you like to eat? I would like to have something inexpensive, but something in good quality. If it's really cheap and good, I would love to eat very often.

World economy is not so good, and restaurant business will be very tough, but I think we need to make progress under the situation. We would like to provide something to entertain people.

Luckily, Japan boom has come, and it's a good timing for Japanese companies to go abroad.
We would like to have a restaurant of noodles(mainly) with reasonable prices and good tastes outside Japan.

Fortunately, we have found a partner. The partner is a well known company in Thailand. Our company is a lot smaller than the company, but I feel we can have a good relationship. To start something new, good relationship and team work is very important, and that's a key for success. In addition, a good location and good concept make the project a real success.

Please look forward to another project, bringing dessert from Thailand. The dessert is made from tropical fruits, which people can feel luxury with.

The other day, it was very cool in the middle of very hot summer days. I felt fall slightly. Fall is an important season for us, restaurants. We are doing the best to prepare menus for fall, so please come and enjoy our foods!

ブルガリアからの研修生、ポリーさんです。４月、５月と一緒にお仕事していただきました。
彼女はブルガリア語、フランス語、英語、日本語を流暢に話すことのできるので、通訳など、とても力になってくれました。本当にありがとう。
ヨーロッパといえば、私はイタリアやフランスなど、旅してきましたが、ブルガリアに関しては、正直知らないところがまだまだたくさんあります。彼女のおかげで、ヨーロッパの中にも「エスニック」に当たるものがたくさんあることがわかってきました。その中で、日本に持ってこられそうなものがないか、近々ポリーさんを訪ねながら探してみたいと思いました。
短い間でしたが、ポリーさん、お疲れさまでした。またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。今日は最後のランチということで、ポリーさんが大好きなお寿司を食べに行きました。
また一緒においしいものが食べられるのを楽しみにしています！

She is Polly, a trainee from Bulgaria. We worked together in April and May. She speaks Bulgarian, French, English and Japanese fluently, and she was so helpful as a translator. Thank you!
I had traveled in some countries such as Italy and France in Europe, but I still do not know very much about Bulgaria. Thanks to her, I realized there were many things that are considered "ethnic" in Europe. I would love to find something that I can bring to Japan visiting Polly.

Today, we had lunch together at a sushi place in Tsukiji. Sushi is her favorite. I'm looking forward to eating together again somewhere.
